PERSONIUM

Disclaimer

Please read before you explore

Research suggests that personality generally becomes more stable as people mature, while MBTI preferences may still change in response to personal growth and life experiences (Erford et al., 2025; Roberts & Mroczek, 2008). The study strategies presented in this website are intended as suggestions for exploration rather than fixed recommendations based on personality type. MBTI preferences do not determine a person’s ability, intelligence, learning capacity, or academic performance. Descriptions of each type represent possible tendencies and should not be interpreted as characteristics shared by all individuals with that preference. Students are encouraged to explore different strategies and select those that best fit their individual needs, experiences, and learning situation.

Study Smarter, Understand Yourself Better

Everyone has their own way of studying. Some students enjoy discussing ideas with others, while others prefer quiet, independent study. This website helps you explore how your MBTI preferences may relate to different study approaches and provides evidence-informed strategies that you can try and evaluate for yourself.

What is MBTI?

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is the psychometric instrument based on Carl Jung’s psychological type theory, which categorizes human personality across four bipolar preferences, yielding 16 distinct personality profiles (Myers et al., 1998). MBTI preferences can be used as a framework for self-reflection and exploration. They do not determine a person's intelligence, ability, learning capacity, or academic performance.

What are Study Habits?

Study Habits are consistent behavioral routines, techniques, and time-management practices that students regularly employ to execute academic tasks and prepare for assessments (Credé & Kuncel, 2008). These may include how students organize their time, review information, take notes, manage their study environment, study independently or with others, and prepare for examinations.

Why PERSONIUM?

PERSONIUM was developed to provide evidence-informed study strategy suggestions based on published research and findings from a systematic literature review examining MBTI preferences and study-related learning approaches. Rather than telling you how you should study, the website allows you to explore strategies associated with different preferences, try them, and reflect on whether they work well for you. The goal is to encourage exploration, self-awareness, and informed study choices—not rigid personality-based rules.
